Register before using the Handibus service.

New riders should complete passenger registration before booking transportation. Once your form is submitted, Rocky View Regional Handibus will follow up with a phone interview about your travel needs.

Registration is not complete until the follow-up phone interview has been completed.

Who should register?

Registration helps us understand each rider’s transportation needs.

All riders should register before using Rocky View Regional Handibus. Registration helps the office plan safe, comfortable transportation based on the passenger’s mobility, pickup location, and support needs.

Registration may be for temporary or short-term use, or for extended and long-term transportation needs.

Registration is for

  • New passengers using the service for the first time.
  • Existing passengers asked to update their information.
  • Passengers with temporary or short-term transportation needs.
  • Passengers needing extended or long-term accessible transportation.
  • Caregivers or family members registering on behalf of a passenger.

Online forms are submitted electronically. Printed forms can be returned by email, fax, or mail.

The office will follow up by phone to review your travel needs before registration is complete.

The printable form can be completed by the passenger or by a person authorized to complete the application on the passenger’s behalf.

After the completed form is received, Rocky View Regional Handibus will contact the person listed on the form for follow-up registration questions.

What the registration form asks for.

The form collects information that helps the Handibus team understand the passenger’s pickup location, mobility needs, health and safety considerations, and emergency contact details.

This information helps the office and drivers provide a safer, more comfortable ride.

Form details may include

  • Passenger name, birthdate, and contact information.
  • Home or pickup location details.
  • Pickup door or building entrance details.
  • Whether safe street parking is available.
  • Mobility aids such as cane, walker, wheelchair, scooter, or powered chair.
  • Health or communication details that may affect safe travel.
  • Emergency contact information.
  • Name and phone number of the person completing the form.

Accessibility and safety

Please share anything that helps us provide a safer ride.

If the passenger uses supplemental oxygen, has difficulty with stairs, uses a service dog, has trouble hearing or seeing, requires a child seat, or has other travel considerations, include those details during registration.

The more complete the information is, the easier it is for the office to plan the right transportation support.

Privacy note

The information collected is used by Rocky View Regional Handibus to provide transportation service and follow up about travel needs.

Personal information is not shared with other organizations. Aggregate information may be used for reporting requirements.

After registration

The office will follow up with a phone interview.

Submitting the form starts the registration process. Registration is not complete until the follow-up phone interview has been completed.

During the follow-up, the office may confirm pickup details, mobility aid information, contact numbers, and other details needed to safely schedule rides.
